An update from the UC Deputy CIO


Welcome to the UCPath program website. Here, you can find the latest information about the UCPath program.
We have made significant progress preparing our new shared services center to support each UC location and our newly standardized business processes, beginning with the UC Office of the President (UCOP).
The new UCOP timeline targets a September 2015 deployment and includes several checkpoints. The first of these was to determine the inclusion of Open Enrollment in UCPath for the September deployment. A decision was made to exclude Open Enrollment from the UCOP pilot but to ensure it is ready it for the next set of deployments.
On April 3, the UCOP Steering Committee unanimously approved moving forward with system integration testing (SIT1). Entering SIT1 means we have cleared the second checkpoint and are currently on track for a September deployment. The full deployment schedule and a description of the work in each phase are available on the UCPath website. 
Also, the UCPath Center has officially started offering specific services to campuses. Staff are supporting UC Santa Cruz and UCLA, providing select PPS-based services to these campuses in advance of their UCPath deployment. This partnership allows the UCPath Center to start providing services to campuses now and it starts to build relationships between the campuses and UCPath Center staff.
